Aramid Bulletproof Helmet Mold
Aramid helmet molds are the core tools in bulletproof helmet production. Their quality directly determines the protective performance and wearing comfort of the final product. Molds are typically made of alloy steel or hard alloy and must withstand high-temperature and high-pressure molding environments. This mold is suitable for the production of modern composite material bulletproof helmets, such as PE and aramid. Those helmets use a hot-press molding process for one-time molding. The design of the mold must fully consider the shrinkage rate and resilience of the material to ensure accurate finished product dimensions.
A bulletproof helmet mold consists of an upper mold, a lower mold, and a mold frame. The upper mold typically includes a cooling system, while the lower mold integrates a heating device, requiring temperature control accuracy within ±2℃. The curved surface design of the mold cavity is crucial, needing to conform to ergonomic standards while meeting the layup requirements of the protective material. Aramid fiber bulletproof helmets forming press‘s pressure typically ranges from 150 to 1000 tons. Depending on the material, the holding time varies from a few minutes to tens of minutes.
TechnoFRP‘s aramid bulletproof helmet molds employ a precision contour-following structure, conforming to the ergonomic curved surface design of the helmet. This effectively solves problems such as uneven helmet thickness, surface misalignment, and reduced protective performance associated with traditional mold molding. Molded products are fully compatible with national and US NIJ protection rating testing standards. They are widely used in the mass production of military and police protective helmets, tactical security helmets, and civilian explosion-proof helmets. Furthermore, we support the customization of various irregular-shaped and lightweight bulletproof helmet molds.
Advantages of Bulletproof Helmet Molds
1. Military-Grade Precision Molding, Stable Protective Performance:
Utilizing a five-axis CNC integrated machining process, the helmet’s curved surface contouring accuracy error is ≤0.02 mm. This ensures uniform pressure on each layer of fiber fabric. The molded helmet meets density standards, is free of voids and wrinkles, perfectly preserving the impact resistance and penetration resistance core properties of UHMWPE and aramid materials. The finished product yield is over 99%.
2. High-Pressure Weather-Resistant Material, Extremely Long Service Life:
The mold body is made of high-quality die-casting mold steel, undergoing multiple heat treatment processes including quenching, tempering, and carburizing, resulting in high hardness and strong compressive strength. It can withstand high-pressure hot pressing conditions of 10-20kg/cm². It is high-temperature resistant, not easily deformed, and wear-resistant. Continuous mass production can achieve a service life of over 100,000 cycles, significantly reducing mold replacement costs for enterprises.
3. Integrated Demolding Design:
Optimized split-type opening and closing structure + precise positioning guide pillars. Combined with a dedicated demolding auxiliary structure, opening and closing are smooth, positioning is precise, and there is no misalignment deviation. Easy demolding after molding, without damaging the helmet’s curved surface, and compatible with automated hot-pressing production lines.
4. Compatible with All Models, Supporting Personalized Customization:
Covering mainstream standard bulletproof helmet designs on the market. Also supports custom molds for lightweight, thickened protection, irregularly shaped ear protectors, full-coverage helmets, and other special structures. We can complete design, mold making, trial molding, and mass production delivery in one stop based on customer product drawings and protection parameter requirements.

Bulletproof Helmet Mold Manufacturing Process
Requirement Analysis & Drawing Modeling → Material Selection & Heat Treatment → 5-Axis CNC Precision Carving → Surface Polishing and Grinding → Precision Testing and Calibration → Trial Molding and Debugging → Factory Quality Inspection → Packaging and Shipping & After-Sales Service.
Each process undergoes rigorous testing. Trial molding is monitored throughout the process to ensure immediate mass production upon installation. No secondary adjustments are required.
